NovaKey is designed to operate without collecting personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how NovaKey handles information on your devices and how your privacy is protected.

Data Collection Summary

NovaKey does not collect any personal data.

Specifically: - No account information is required - No analytics or telemetry are collected - No advertising identifiers are used - No location data is accessed - No usage tracking is performed - No data is transmitted to NovaKey-controlled servers

All sensitive data remains under your control and on your devices.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Secrets

Secrets you add to NovaKey: - Are stored locally on your device - Are protected by the iOS Keychain - Are never displayed after being saved - Require Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode to access

NovaKey cannot access your secrets without your explicit authentication.

Pairing Information

When you pair NovaKey with a computer: - Cryptographic pairing material is stored locally - Pairing data is used only to authenticate your devices - Pairing data is never shared or transmitted to third parties

Clipboard Handling

Phone Clipboard

When you copy a secret: - The secret is placed on the local iOS clipboard - Clipboard use requires explicit user action - Clipboard contents may auto-clear after a configurable timeout - Clipboard may be cleared when the app moves to the background (if enabled)

Computer Clipboard (NovaKey-Daemon)

On supported systems, NovaKey-Daemon may inject a secret into the computer’s clipboard as part of delivery.

NovaKey does not monitor, read, or transmit clipboard contents beyond the requested operation.

Network Communication

NovaKey communicates only with: - Computers you explicitly pair - Over encrypted, authenticated connections

NovaKey does not communicate with analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Accessibility and Input Permissions

On some platforms, NovaKey-Daemon may request: - Accessibility permissions - Input Monitoring permissions

These permissions are required only to perform explicit actions you request (such as securely injecting secrets). NovaKey does not monitor general user activity or keystrokes.

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time by: - Removing secrets within the app - Removing paired listeners - Uninstalling the app

Uninstalling NovaKey removes all locally stored data.

Children’s Privacy

NovaKey does not knowingly collect personal data from children and does not include content targeted specifically at children.

Changes to This Policy

If NovaKey’s data practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
